Adding Paging capability into HTML table using AngularJS

Background

This is in continuation with my previous post in which we made HTML table sortable if you haven’t read it yet, give it a read first at URL. Next obvious request from end users is to introduce pagination in it.

Solution

We will be coming up with the following table in which data can be sorted and paged at the same time, this will have all of its data retrieved on the client side for paging and sorting.… [Keep reading] “Adding Paging capability into HTML table using AngularJS”

Display dropdown selection list on AD FS 4.0 Home Realm Discovery page

On AD FS 2.0 or 3.0 home realm discovery page, there was an option to select the AD FS namespace from a dropdown list. But in AD FS 4.0 it has been changed to HTML DIVs and sometimes it can be annoying if you have many (100s) of claims provider trusts available to choose from. So there is a customization required to change the HTML DIVs selection to a dropdown list selection.
Before doing the customizations, the HRD page selection section looks like:

In AD FS 4.0 this customization can be done in an “onload.js”… [Keep reading] “Display dropdown selection list on AD FS 4.0 Home Realm Discovery page”

Enterprise-ready testing in Xamarin

As focus moves towards mobile-first development, enterprise developers should also focus on automated testing. In an enterprise setting, we like to test for merge conflicts, sync issues, authentication failures, etc and we need to test this on hundreds of devices.
In this post, we will look at how we can set UI test project and application code so that we can test against scenarios that we face in a real-life situation (no connection, sync issues, authentication failures).… [Keep reading] “Enterprise-ready testing in Xamarin”

Set up a Microsoft Graph App for Office 365 and SharePoint Online management to use in Azure Functions, Flow, .Net solutions and much more

Microsoft Graph API can be used to connect and manage the Office 365 SaaS platforms such as SharePoint Online, Office 365 Groups, One Drive, OneNote, Azure AD, Teams (in beta) and much more.
A Graph app is an Azure AD app that has privileges (with provided permissions) to authenticate and then execute operations when using PowerShell, Azure Functions, Flow, Office Online CSOM, SharePoint Online and many other tools.
It is quite easy to set up a graph app, below is a brief preview of the process.… [Keep reading] “Set up a Microsoft Graph App for Office 365 and SharePoint Online management to use in Azure Functions, Flow, .Net solutions and much more”

Automation and Creation of Office 365 groups using Flow, Microsoft Graph and Azure Function – Part 1

Automating the creation of Office 365 groups via an event triggered process can help business teams use a consistent template across all their groups, especially if there are numerous groups provisioned throughout the year.
For example, in our case we have 500+ custom Office 365 groups that are created and maintained each year. Hence in this case it became obvious we wanted to spin up an Office 365 group from a SharePoint list where users could make the request on their own.… [Keep reading] “Automation and Creation of Office 365 groups using Flow, Microsoft Graph and Azure Function – Part 1”

Versioning of Android app (Dev, Stage, and Prod) using same code base – Xamarin Forms

We will be continuing our journey into App versioning, this time for Android. Similar to iOS, in Android, we have to create Compiler symbols too. For those who have missed iOS versioning blog, click on below is the link.

Versioning of iOS app (Dev, Stage, and Prod) using same code base – Xamarin Forms

App versioning based on same code base is the favorite feature of most of the clients I worked for various reasons. Usually, this feature is requested to cater App to the different set of departments or support multi-tenancy that client want to support. When creating a complex app, there are n-number of teams working together to build it, which includes dev testers,  beta testers, or even a client who wants to demo a product before actually purchasing it.… [Keep reading] “Versioning of iOS app (Dev, Stage, and Prod) using same code base – Xamarin Forms”

How to make Property Bag Values indexed and searchable in SharePoint Online

In an earlier post here we have seen how we can set Property Bag values in Modern SharePoint sites. One of the major reasons for setting Property Bag values in SharePoint sites is to make the SharePoint sites searchable based on custom metadata.
However, property bag values are not crawled by the SharePoint Online Search index directly. To make a property bag value searchable, we must explicit set the property bag values to be indexed by the Search crawler.… [Keep reading] “How to make Property Bag Values indexed and searchable in SharePoint Online”
