Prerequisites
-
Microsoft Account – To setup Microsoft Intune demo it is recommended to establish a new Microsoft Account even if you already have an existing one. Reason being that the demo is tied to the email address and may limit you from running additional demos or production after you have completed the demo.
Go to URL https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook-com and follow Setup steps provide by Microsoft for setting up a new Microsoft Account.
- Office 365 Trial Tenant – This will create an Office 365 tenant account that will be integrated with Azure Active Directory and Microsoft Intune which our demo will use.
Create an Office 365 Trial Tenant
Go to http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/p/?LinkID=403802. And you will then be asked to create your user ID. The first text box is the name of the initial admin user with Admin permission. The second text box is the name of the tenant, which is typically a company name.
WARNING – For this demo IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to not use a real company name. A trial Office 365 subscription it more difficult to cover to a non-trial subscription later. Also a Tenant name cannot be deleted or reused.
Select next on the previous screen. You will now need to prove you are not a robotJ. Choose from text or call verification. For this demo I have selected call verification. In my case I need to click Call me in order to receive the verification code.
In a minute or so you will receive an automated call from Microsoft providing you with a 6 digit verification code. Enter this 6 digit code on the verification code box and click verify. I recommend you write the tenant information provided while your Office 365 E3 trial tenant account is created
